11.2.15 The mission gets better everyday!

Hello everybody! Hope y'all had a great week! I had an amazing week here in Georgia and just thought I'd share a few highlights!

On Tuesday I gave my first training in district meeting on faith. Ether 12:6 "Faith is not by chance but by choice" was a talk given in the priesthood session this last conference, and it is incredible!  If you haven't read it yet please do. Faith in Jesus Christ is a gift from heaven that comes as we choose to believe and as we seek it and hold on to it. Your faith is either growing stronger or becoming weaker. This is just 2 sentences from it - but it is so powerful. Faith is Jesus Christ really is a gift from heaven. I am so grateful for my faith in my savior and that it continues to grow each day. After district meeting we had a great Book of Mormon read with Mildred and we talked to her about the Word of Wisdom. It was a great lesson! We did some tracting and were able to find some new investigators which was great! We had dinner with the Adams who are the oldest couple in the ward and they are adorable! They made us homemade biscuits and shepherds pie!  It was delicious!! Tuesday was an incredible day!

Wednesday's highlight was our miracle while tracting. We were really struggling starting out.. no one was home and we were exhausted. We decided to stop and say a prayer and just like that the next two houses we taught lessons too. One of them was a 16 year old boy who had been to the Mormon church when was younger but was actually wanting to go back just didn't know where or how to begin. We were able to answer his questions and give him a Book of Mormon. He promised he would come to church on Sunday and seemed really excited. The lord really is always with each and everyone of us!  If we ask for his help he will be there.

Thursday we were very busy! We had a tight schedule and we're going from lesson to lesson. After our annual Mormon warrior gathering at Roberts my chain broke... Luckily the Elders came and saved us. It took awhile to fix and we were worried about our schedule. We have been trying to get in contact with a family since we got here and decided we would stop by today. Finally we were able to fix my bike and headed over. Just as we pulled in she pulled in the driveway right after us. It was perfect timing! The Lord really has his hand in all things even in bike chains!(:

Saturday the best Halloween ever!! We woke up feeling worried that we didn't really have a full day planned but as we got up and started our studies the day fell right into place. We were able to go serve a investigator and her family that we have been trying to get ahold of.

It was super fun and we were able to talk about missionary work with her. We then felt impressed to go visit Mildrid so we did and she had just found out her baby sister had passed away that morning. We were able to visit her and comfort her. I am so grateful for the power of the spirit that leads and guides us. We then got to have dinner with Janet. She is our neighbor and truly believes the Lord sent us to her. She is an amazing woman and we got to have an incredible evening together eating dark chocolate M&Ms and drinking water out of wine glasses. She was so thrilled to hear about the BoM and be able to ask us questions about what we believe. She agreed to come to church with us tomorrow and I couldn't be more excited.

Sunday was a rainy but amazing Sabbath day! Janet our sweet neighbor came to church with us! We had an incredible fast and testimony meeting. It seemed the topic was the Book of Mormon and the plan of salvation. So many people from our ward went up and told their conversion story! It was fantastic! The spirit truly guided the meeting! We had lots of meetings after church and decided to take a little break while we were walking around the building.

A bishop from another ward stopped us and asked if we were the Level Creek Sisters.  Of course we said yes and he introduced us to this sweet woman. She is going through a lot and trying to find a church to raise her boys in!  She just had her second baby and he is having a rough start I was able to relate to her and we are going over later this week. It was so incredible! The lord will do whatever he needs to do to get his work done. Being in the right place at the right time is so important!

Overall this week was truly incredible. So many little tender mercies and miracles! I love being a missionary(: thank you so much for all your love and support! Hope y'all have a great week!

Happy Halloween 2015 from Buford, GA

So I forgot to tell you an Elder in our district was riding his bike
and I guess he hit something!  He flew over his handle bars and broke his arm!  Luckily, he was wearing his helmet.  He was just sent home for surgery and a 3 month recovery! Not gonna lie it scares me a bit!  But I know we are protected and whatever happens is supposed to happen! Just please keep me in your prayers as I bike to my death (;
love you! Xoxo
